I'm sorry, I dont know how to do the URL link thing. Help!

Posted by: Michelle at September 9, 2003 08:10 PM

What you should have done Mich (and I hope I don't make any mistakes) is the type the name on the link eg. LABOUR and then (BTW, there is a space between the a and href like

The link name would then show in a different colour and if clicked, the reader would arrive at the webpage.

Let's say I know what I do because of mi bredren Mad Bull, not due to any formal computer training, so don't feel too bad.

See, that wasn't so painful with the help of an epidural from the Doc. now, was it!? Or was that you I heard bawling out down the corridor? ;-)

Seems I will have to send it in an e-mail, the html code seems to have been eaten. Poor me!

Posted by: Dr. D. at September 9, 2003 08:39 PM

Michelle, you should have typed the following:
<a href="http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/magazines/AllWoman/html/20030907T230000-0500_48662_OBS_WHEN_LABOUR_STRIKES___.asp">When Labour Strikes</a> ... There are no spaces in the URL, even though it might look that way.

It is an interesting story... Doc, tell me, don't they administer an anaesthetic when they do the episiotomy? If not, why not? Seems a bit wicked, rasta!

Posted by: Mad Bull at September 9, 2003 09:01 PM

Mad Bull, in most cases an anaesthetic is given before an episiotomy. There are some cases where it may need to be done but because of time (too late when the decision is made) it is infrequently done without...very few though. I witnessed one and the lady did seem to have pain when the scissors went to work. I was sorry for her.

Luckily I was born male...but then again, I have 'delivered' two kidney stones.

Michelle, when you type your entry into the blog, there are four little buttons (on the right, above the "Entry Body" field. One of those buttons is "url". Select the text you want to make into a lick and click on the "url" button. It'll convert the text into a hyperlink. That's the easy way until you learn basic html.

Link, not lick. See where my mind is? :) I fixed the original entry.

You know my theory, of course it hurts, look at the size of a baby's head.......BUT look at the baby when he/she comes out. It is an absolutely AWESOME experience, just think about what happens to your body throughout the entire 40 weeks. Now don't get me wrong....I wanted every drugs in the hospital and more while having both my champions, but it is amazing how the pain just DISAPPEARS after the shoulders come out (a little graphic i know). For Joshua I wanted to prove my womanhood and so have him naturally.....HA HA after that expereince I was adamant that I was not having another and then you know what happened. For Alex we decided that we were going to do the epidural route but the little fellow decided that he would trick us and come early and so by the time I went into labour and reached the hospital it was too late, he however came out in 2 hours unlike Josh who took 13 hours of labour. They were both worth it a million times over, if I could show off and post pictures on this website I would.

Enjoy your beach trip today. Keep in touch.

That's not a bad idea at all, Lots of orphans out there that could do with a loving family. How was the beach. Hope you had the SB (Summer Body) and got a tan. Remember the beach in Sardinia? Just saw pictures the other day, we were exceedingly tanned? What were we thinking?

Dr D....be careful! when was your bday by the way?-

Re Sardinia, I also recently saw those pictures...me in my hot green shorts and orange/green tie & die t-shirt, as dark as chip. And the one at the pizzeria with the gorgeous fella, yes I was very brown. That Sardinia sun was brutal.

And let's not forget that "Esmeralda" with the broom picture of you! (oh, and the "cheeks" too!)

Posted by: Michelle at September 13, 2003 01:30 AM

Maybe....to an extent. But I don't think you should stereotype and I'm not one who is into the horoscope thing at all.

Everybody is an individual.
