New Nayger (Naiga?)

I probably haven't spelt that second word in the title correctly, but what I mean is....you know when you buy something and you wear it right away?

Well these shoes got the treatment

Reached home on Saturday night, and Sunday I was in them with mah lime green (washed out) T-shirt (which I have since banned from coming on the street with me!).

Now I tell you something about these shoes (apart from the fact that they were cheap). This is a colour I would NEVER before have bought. Not cause I didn't see it before, but because I always stuck to the neutral colours....Black, Brown, Navy Blue.

But while in Trinidad, I went into Payless and saw some lovely burnt orange red slippers and had to have them. So I did. That was the first step in going outside of my comfort zone. Since I bought them, you'd be surprised at how many things I found in my cupboard that match them. I also shied away from colours other than neutral one, because the foot is a size plenty and so colours would magnify it. White is definitely out!

When I saw these lime green ones therefore, I had to have them....then realized that the only thing I had to match was this washed out T-shirt. Oh, on Sunday, I also wore a newly acquired pair of boot leg cut jeans...another first, for I never thought I would wear one of them there ones. But it didn't look bad, although Patch said "they're tight!". Ignore him. They're not.

Today again was a New Nayger day. A black tank of sorts. I got called a princess by a guy near Hot Pot.

So the morale of the story is that you will be considered royalty if you wear what you buy right away.

Don't blame you girlfriend. I have never been one to let breeze blow over my new clothes and always wear them straight away. Don't know why you were afraid to wear orange or green shoes before. With your skin tone, they must look fantastic!

well you see, because of the size of my feet, I figured they would magnify the size and blind people!!!
