The cute puppy on the story below was made to sleep in the kennel a few nights ago. So naturally, she did her 'stuff' in there. Now night before last night, she is let loose in the pen with the other dogs and where does she crap? In the kennel. Hrmph.
Well she is learning, being socialized, because this morning when I went to clean up, there was no 'stuff' in the kennel. I tried to identify which of the mounds was hers. She and blind-in-one eye Brown Puppy (that IS her name!) produce small mounds, so hard to tell.
Posted by yamfoot at January 15, 2004 10:46 AMMichelle....please give the dog a decent name. The blind in one eye business nuh sound ready at all! No wonder she is doing her stuff all over in protest.
Posted by: Dr. D. at January 15, 2004 08:34 PMher name is Brown Puppy. She's the oldes of the lot, when she came we couldnt find a name for her, so that stuck!
Posted by: Michelle at January 16, 2004 08:22 AMOk....time for Embarrassing Family Story No. 422 (Series V) - there are a lot of them.
I took that bloody dog to the vet once and had to suffer the indignity of publicly admitting the dog's name WAS Brown Puppy. I murmured the name, mindful that there were Other People in the waiting room. The vet's assistant was incredulous at the somewhat (by then) inaccurate name - the puppy was now a dog - and was determined not to permit this to continue. She mounted a rearguard action to rename the dog which failed and she evetually grudgingly conceded to record the dog's name in the vet's files as "Brown Pup". Well, the name lives on, though the old gal is stiff as a board, except when she sees me (through her one good eye) and when she is being fed, when she gets frisky. So, yes, the dog's name really is Brown Puppy. But...it could be worse. We once had a dog named "Dead & Wake"....but THAT is for another post....
Posted by: Patch at January 16, 2004 06:24 PMThe dog names here are almost as bad as the name given to a child I admitted when I was doing internship at the Bustamante Hospital for Children.....the pickney was named SATANIA! :-0
When I asked the mother why she could ahve given the child such an awful name she replied, "Doc. She is the living devil!" I could say no more.
Posted by: Dr. D. at January 17, 2004 01:52 PMMichelle knows we all love her.
How else could you explain all of us logging on to read about dog poo ???
Posted by: Dale at January 17, 2004 05:31 PMOh that was an unkind mother. I would be changing my name by deedpole once I was legally able to.
