I told you yesterday that I would wait until I weighed on the gym scale to decide just how much weight I've lost.
Did that, and the result is........(drum roll)
.......2 additional pounds since when I left here.
So the total since the start of the year is a whole 14 pounds. The only reason it's not more, is because of the rain in Trinidad and Grenada. What? What rain have to do with you losing weight.
Well you see, it's like this. If there was no rain, there would have been cricket. I walk up and down at cricket. If there was no rain, I wouldn't have kept the rental car for as many days as I had it and so would have had to walk to the bus stop and up the hill to where my hotel room was (a steep steep hill). Now you understand the correlation between the rain and the little bit of weight loss?
Now I purposely don't put how much I weigh because if you heard it, you'd think that I was larger than I look. Usually when I ask people to guess, they guess way lower than I really am, which means that I probably have a lot of the weight in muscle weight. Muscle? Where? Ok, let's not debate that.
But take for example you Mad Bull. You've seen me. Dig up your short term memory and take a guess at how much I weigh.
Posted by yamfoot at May 8, 2004 10:24 PMI won't make any guesses as I haven't met you (yet)! ;-)
In any case, weight and size are generally subjects that people (especially women I have found) get pretty touchy about, so it is an area that I've learned to avoid....unless it is with family/friends that I'm close to, and even then, I'm still careful. It may well be because some people just don't know how to comment decently about weight..."What a way you big and fat!" or....."Lawks, him draw down eh? I wonder if a cancer or AIDS him have?" Them sort of tasteless comments. (Shaking head)
But, good that you have managed to keep up your loss. You have been posting about this pretty regularly, so I suppose it must mean a lot to you. You go my girl. Respec.
Posted by: Dr. D. at May 9, 2004 09:08 AMThis is a dangerous question. Very dangerous... but you asked. Don't get vexed if I go over, I generally cannot guess things like age or weight well...
160 lbs?
ok, so maybe Mad Bull wasn't a good candidate for asking this....you are so way off. In fact that's what I'd like to weigh. So if you remember a previous post where I said I had lost 12 and had X more to go, you'll have a better idea of exactly how much I weigh.
But I know I don't look my weight, so I'm not too concerned with what I way, but rather, what size clothes I can fit in.
And I am primarly doing this for my health because I wrote in a story a couple of years ago, that I want to be a Foxy Forty Year old. so by my 40th birthday, I must be at that size, and living a lifestyle which mainatain that size.
