I would have let her go long time

In fact, after the first 3 months of her employment, when her true nature was manifested.

This is the helper I am talking about. Started working with us two years ago, and there was signs from within the first 3 months, that she would not have been allowed to continue working had she been in my employ.

Well last Thursday, story came to bump. Mummy asked her to press three items of clothes. She told Mummy that she couldn't promise her that she would do it....Mummy asked her to repeat and she said it again, then blazed up and said some other things which were not reasonable.

Mummy again repeated the instruction to iron the things.

Lo and behold, the lady left without doing them. So that evening a letter was typed terminating her services. She received it on Friday morning, and one of the things she said to Pops as he was reading it to her was "But Ms Mac know I would have done them today". That's not the point though, is it.

As I tell people all the while, is only when you work for yourself that you can do as you please. In any other situation, you have to follow instructions. Sure, if you don't agree with something you can engage your boss in a level headed discussion and try and get him to see your viewpoint. But if that fails, you'd better do what he asks, or else leave di wuk! Ah so mi see it.

Won't bodda get into the details of how I had to install a blocker for cellular calls on mi yard phone sake o she some months back...8, 9 thousand dollar phone bill sake o cellular calls to she frien pon pre-paid phone from MY land line!! Mek me stop you hear.

And yes, if you nuh like de wuk...gwaan you ways...you may well find someone who can do the job better for less pay! No one is indispensable! (is so it spell?) Some of dem really tink seh dem special fe true.
