Turn up for the flight late.

Ok, Ok, so that's not how it really went.....

Was booked on a flight to leave Grenada at 9:25pm. True as I know how LIAT stay, called the airport around 8:25 to find out if the flight would be on time. Heard it was going to be leaving after 10:00pm, but that it was overbooked. Reached to the airport about an hour before 10, and the lady says "we have an overbooking situation". "But I need to get to Barbados tonight". "Sorry maam". No jumpseat? Nope - sold. Where's Captain Hi-Tech when you need a pilot friend. Oh, wrong airline.

Long and short is that I am now going at the ungodly hour of 6:05am. That flight is also full, but they've already checked us in and given us boarding passes, so according to them, we will definitely get on. Yuck. I hate waking up early.

How the money come in? They gave me a US$75 voucher which is good for a year. I told the supervisor I wanted cash instead. That hated response......"that's our policy". Well it stinks.

Anyway, as the young Jamaican cricketers have a habit of saying "it's all good" cause I have to go from Antigua to St Kitts later next month, so that will reduce the airfare. It just means I am stuck taking LIAT. Last time I did that trip, I took Caribbean Star and it's quite good.

So to bed I must go, to sleep for a couple hours before the miserable taxi driver comes back for me. Him miserable you see!! Probably not a Grenadian.
