Rejected!

No, not about the visa I am talking about....read on.

Was invited to submit a piece on a West Indies cricketer to an English cricket magazine. Just heard back from them two days ago that the Editor decided NOT to use it because it didn't give him the insight he was looking for. I was unable to interview the player face to face before the deadline, so used material from a previous face to face interview I had done with him earlier.

I had explained this to them, and asked if I should go ahead and they said yes (the Deputy Editor did). So after all of that I was REJECTED. My first writing rejection. Felt kinda sad about it, because the publicity for CaribbeanCricket.com and me would have been huge. But ah so life go.

Hopefully the Embassy won't also stamp REJECTED on my application.

I promise, when I have more time, I will tell you all about that experience which made me say out loud "why didn't I decide to pursue the PhD in England???"
