That's not a good thing...when the Chef comes to your table. I saw him approaching and gesticulated "oh no, it's ok". What brought that on?
I sent back the snapper, and then the beef. He, being a good Chef, came to find out what was wrong, because they had thrown away the fish so he couldn't see.
As I told him, it was the quality of the fish which was a concern, not the taste. And the beef? Well I'm a Caribbean person...I accustomed to seasoned meat....meat that seaon and leave in the fridge for a couple hours or even overnight. So the lack of seasoning was what made me send it back.
Guess what I asked for instead? I've told you elsewhere on this blog that you get a "pre" right after you order. Tonight it was Chicken Nuggets with delicious Barbeque sauce. So I asked for, and got, 4 pieces of that for my protein.
The appetizer was a Twice Baked Callaloo Souffle, very tasty indeed. Soup was Bluggoe, which tonight I didn't like. Bluggoe is kind of like Green Banana. Dessert was Passionfruit cheesecake and Guava ice cream (I left some on the plate).
You would have guessed that I dined in the restaurant tonight and not in my room eh? I hope so. You wouldn't expect that the Chef would come to visit me in my room I hope!
Posted by yamfoot at July 21, 2004 12:33 AMBluggoe sounds pretty yucky.
Chef wouldn't be coming to visit you in your room unless he coming to 'dine' too! ;-)))
