Incompetent LIAT

Remember in post yesterday or the day before, I mentioned how the lost ticket made me have to change my LIAT flight from Antigua to ST Kitts to today?

Well, I called LIAT reservations centre in Trinidad, spoke to Richard who told me it was changed and also that the change fee was US$50. I wrote 'tiefs' beside where I made that note.

BWIA and LIAT suppose to have this sharing thing, so when I checked in at the Barbados BWIA counter this morning, I asked the agent to check my bags straight to St Kitts so I wouldn't have to clear immigration and customs in Antigua. They said they didn't see the booking and advised me to check at the LIAT counter.

I did and they said it was not change. One incidence of incompetence. They asked me if I knew that the change fee was US$50, I said yes, and asked if they wanted me to pay it there. They said no, pay it in Antigua.

Go to check in in Antigua and I deliberately don't mention it......neither did the agent! So I didn't have to fork out US$50.

Now I mention in a post below that the flight was delayed. With every announcement over the PA system, I wondered if I was going to here "will Yamfoot please return to the LIAT counter to pay us tiefs we $50".

No such call came.

No wonder they can't make any money. They still have an opportunity to catch me on the return leg though. I am sure they won't!
