Dinner tonight

Generally, the food here is quite nice and nicely presented too. Dr D just asked what happened to the pictures of my meals, like what I used to do from Grenada. Well internet connection here is from the business centre, so no possibility for pictures.

Sometimes I have Room Service, and sometimes, like tonight, I go up to the main restaurant, or I go to the one by the sea.

Ordered Kittitian Conch Chowder.....delish. Tasted like it was just made. The conch was cut up in tiny tiny bits, so no rubbery feeling. Next was the Pork Wellington. It started out good, then when I got to the middle (it's the loin of the pork, not a chop), it was icy cold. So I guess it wasn't warmed up properly.

The waitress was very pleasant, she apologized immediately and asked if there was something else I would like. Decided you can't go wrong with Chicken Breast.

So that's what I ordered, and I asked if the chef would do some fry plantains for me. Of course he would.

It was lovely. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was a mushroom glaze. I don't like mushrooms, but it was just the flavour in the sauce and it really don't have too much of a strong taste. I wonder why I don't like mushroom? Oh, it's because it reminds me of a slug. The texture. And the colour.

I liked the plate clean. With my fork. Nothing was left on the plate I swear. The chef must feel good about that plate when him see it.

Decided to have dessert. This was only the second time that I have had dessert since I've been here (came on October 5th). Oops...third time. I forgot the ice cream!

So after a complaint I became a satisfied customer. All because of how the employees handled it, and I guess the chef took extra special care to make sure the replacement meal was just right.
