Dem scale dem lie like an iron pipe

I went in the gym this morning as promised.....gosh it was hell to get up. I was tempted to roll back over and go back to sleep. But I did the self talk thing and lo and behold I struggled out of bed.

Didn't really work out too vigorously. But went on the scale. The bloody thing tell me that I have lost about 8 pounds and I know that is not true. I've known my body for thirty-buff years and I know I ent 8 pounds lighter.

So for now, I will stick with the 4 pounds loss. When I get home I will go on the gym scale there and that will tell me the truth!

The trick is to pick one scale and stick to it. Scales vary from one to the other. We have two in our bathroom and they are 3.5lbs different. Hwoever, they are always consistently different so if we just picked one, it would at least accurately show weight gain or loss from a baseline on that specific scale.

Hi Yamfoot-I know exactly how you feel about loosing weight. It is a constant struggle since I love my food.
One thing is that I don't weight myself too often. I can usually tell by the way my clothes fit. Weighing can deflate one's determination to exercise.

You seem to travel quite a bit.

Hang in there.

I agree with Stu. Stick to one scale if you can.
As for the food, everything in moderation.

I love to fool myself, so I would be going for the 8 pounds. But that is why I still struggle with my weight! :-)
