We had a small family dinner this afternoon. About 35 people were fed. The last persons left at 9:30 and the kitchen and other used areas were cleared up by about 11:30pm.
I dislike the clearing up part of events such as these, but somehow tonight it didn't feel like a hassle. (I'm totally for having food catered and having staff do the clearing up but I guess money is needed for that huh).

Posted by: Dr. D. at January 3, 2005 07:33 AMif you know how our family functions usually go, 35 is a small number!
It's usually upwards of 50. When I say family, it's blood relatives plus those who are like blood relatives. My granny on my mother's side was one of 13, so the actual family is quite large.
