Should I feel ashamed to answer 'YES' to that question?
Not at all. I moved from Jamaica in 1997, and before I moved, I wasn't living with my parents....so there.
Why do I live with my parents?
I am only in Jamaica for a couple of months per year. Would it make sense to buy somewhere? And besides, I am NOT going to put myself in debt, because that means giving up the freedom and flexibility I have right now, which is making my life just one fantastic ride.
Will it come back to haunt me? Maybe. But if I were to pass on (to wherever) tomorrow, I would go having had a very happy last 7 years.
Didn't you hear about the guy who retired today, having made lots of plans for travel with his wife, and then was dead the next day? That won't happen to me.
Now of course if I have kids, that's a different story.

Posted by: Mel Da Piggy at January 4, 2005 09:01 PMIt 's a personal decision I think. I don't live with my parents (probably has something to do with being married and having my own children :-/
But I have the next best...I live right in front of them.
Do your own thing yuh hear, and don't pay people nuh mind. Dem too bad mind.
well actually I live in my sister's house but she's not there :)
Posted by: owen at January 5, 2005 09:35 PMCho, Mich, you should find a man to live wid when you are in J-A! That'll solve all your problems... hell, if you go to lunch wid the married man, maybe he'll end up renting you a place while you are in J-A, and if you really put your back into it, mebbe he'll buy you a place! ;-)
