1600

That's what Joy Bauer says is the magic number of calories for me to eat in order to lose the weight I want to lose (that's about 47 pounds).

Now ordinarily this wouldn't be difficult, but in this house where not everyone needs to lose weight, it's kinda difficult because the food just there...in your face. When I lived alone, I would buy only the foods that I was allowed to eat, so there would be no temptations.

I need cricket to come back to Jamaica soon. I always lose weight during cricket because I am not bored, and I have lots of walking up and down to do.

*See what I mean....in the midst of typing this, Sis just announced "I bought Big T Hardough bread*

I have been writing down what I have been eating, just not counting the calories. I need to go back to England where I am forced to walk up and down a lot because I would have no car.

exercise, exercise and more exercise...that's the only wy to do it. incorporateit into your daily life and limit your carbs for the time being..drink lots of water and that should help jump start your weight lost. Good luck

1600 calories seem like a lot for a woman. I would suspect that 1200 going down to 1000 over a period of 6 weeks would be more in line. 47 lbs is 164,500 calories. Two ways to get there, not eat the calories or work them off. If you burn 250 calories a day in exercise and not eat 250 calories per day from what you normally eat, you should lose 1 pound per week (given nothing else changes except the exercise and eating 250 calories less).

remember i'm a large framed woman so 1600 is not that much. i am also very active, exercising 5 - 6 times per week, so anything lower than 1600 will make me lack energy.
