(Ir)Regardless of all the accusations swirling around this dude, he has a gift for writing and singing music. Was just listening to his semi-gospel album. Seems like everything he touches sounds like silk. Am about to listen to some songs on Chocholate Factory. In between it's Alicia Keys (what a girl can sing, and not just sing but PERFORM, gosh she's talented) and Usher (what a dude can dance and smile....'im cute eeeeh? - short though).
*I've heard people say 'irregardless' to mean 'regardless'*
Alicia IS talented! R Kelly has his brilliant moments, but some-fing about him totally turns mi off even then. Mi English teachers woulda said NO to that version ov "regardless"--even colloquial usage--but I've still seen it written in satirical humour.
Posted by: Mel Da Piggy at February 19, 2005 08:28 AMHmmm, R. Kelly is definately on and off as a singer, I guess it must be the artist in him, but when he's good, he's good. Alicia is a queen for sure!
Posted by: AngryDog at February 19, 2005 10:11 AMI haven't been following R Kelly in recent years, but I did buy two of his CDs a few years back. He does have talent.
Alicia Keys not only is an entertainer....shes a fine specimen of a woman as well. ;-)
"Irregardless" of what you may see written, I think that word is incorrect. Then again, have heard English Prof. GW Bushy saying things like, "They MISUNDERESTIMATE the United States!" (He said it twice in two separate sentences. So not a 'slip' of the tongue evidently.) Lord help him.
