They found me a Match

Remember I told you I had signed up at e-Harmony.com? That's an online dating service that promises you great matches.

They ask you to set out the qualities, attributes etc that you want in a mate. They also ask you to say whether you would get together with somebody who smokes (no), drinks (no), has kids under 18 living with them (no), and what race you would go out with.

Now yesterday I changed some of the settings. Under race, in addition to African American, I ticked 'Other'. Now what pray tell is the 'Other' race?

Anyway, this morning, I get an email saying they have found a match. When I had 'Caucasian' ticked, I got three matches to whom I never responded because I think for me to go out with somebody who is not the same race as I am, I'd have to meet them in person.

So, here's the snippet on Jay, who I haven't quite decided if I am going to start communicating with....

Match Name: Jay
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States
Occupation: I am a student and research fellow
Height: 5' 11''
Age: 37
Ethnicity: Other

Jay could be one of you nice men who read Yamfoot, nuh true? Maybe I should start communicating with him?

Sounds like an axe murderer to me! :-))

Naw, just kidding. Can't hurt to chat with the yute. Create a brand new email address at hotmail. Use it for the purpose of chatting with him. That way, if you want to done it, just stop checking that email address...

Good luck in finding your mate my personal experience is that the person for you could be right in front of you and you just don't know it yet. I met my husband at work and we knew each other for 4 years before we got together.
So enjoy the adventure.
